On behalf of the National Junior and Young People Department, I would like to extend a warm welcome to the delegates of the 106th National Conven tion in Phoenix, Arizona. I am ecstatic and overfilled with gratitude for what the Lord is going to do for you all at the seat of this convention. It is a privi lege and honor as always to have served this great Department and organization as one of its leaders. Fur thermore, a blessing to serve in the company of God ’ s people once again. As we are here in Arizona, please ensure you are staying cool and hydrated throughout the week, and prior itize what is beneficial for your health. Congratulations to our honorees: Pamela Farley (CA), Charles Houston (WA), Edith Jackson - Norris (CO), and Julia Rogers (AZ) from the Western Region. I commend you all for your dedication and steadfast service in which you are recognized. I thank all who have had a part in making the Western Region what it is today, and I also thank those who are continuing to do so. I pray you all have a successful week, that you find com fort in your fellow doorkeepers. Celebrate the opportunity to once again be in the land of the living. I hope you learn something new! Not only that, but take that new thing home with you, and share it with those who need it. Lastly, the Junior Department thanks the organization for all its support and investments for our young peo ple. We appreciate the wisdom and guidance that will shape us into the people that we are destined to be come.
