Our Former Junior Usher Darnell (DJ) Carter Has Enlisted in The United States Army!

Our former Junior Usher Darnell (DJ) Carter enlisted in The United States Army and left for basic training on Saturday, February 8, 2025. DJ is a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Warrenton, Virginia located in District #2 where Pastor Keith McCullough serves as the Under Shepherd. The Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church recognized and prayed for DJ during their Worship Service on Sunday, February 2, 2025, and shared a very special presentation, which included pictures of DJ from his younger years to present. They concluded with a fellowship meal. It was a beautiful and special send-off for DJ. Many family members and friends attended. DJ graduated from the 2014 George T. Grier School of Ushering Class and received his National Diploma. He was a member of the 2018 and 2019 Award-Winning Virginia Junior Drill Teams. Both teams received first-place. Phil Chambers served as the Drill Master.

We pray that God continues to bless and protect DJ during his military career and on his future endeavors. To God Be The Glory!
