School of Ushering Chairperson: Sis. Annette Forehand

There is a new Instructor-in-Training in Unit 3, Bro. Amir Simmons, from Greater Life Christian Church. Alumni ushers will serve at The ICUA of Delaware Memorial Service, on Sunday, March 2, 2025.

Unit 3 Chairperson: Sis. Jeralin Rochester

The Unit distributed Holiday Gift Cards, to needy families in 4 churches. This was re-instated as an annual event. The Alumni members handed out “Blessing Bags”, during the holidays.

Honorary usher at Mt. Zion AME Church, in Dover, Delaware and A. W. Briggs member, Sis. Thelma Brown celebrated her 103 rd birthday, on Feb. 12, 2025.

Deacon James Hope passed away on January 29, 2025. He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and he was an active and faithful usher on all levels: local, unit, state, region and national. He served as President of Unit 3 ushers for several years. He shared both his talent and love for music at many churches. He also served as chairman of the chorus on all levels, ICUA of Delaware, Eastern Region Church Ushers and National and National United Church Ushers Association
