ICUA of Delaware: Honoring Traditions, Serving Communities, and Celebrating Growth The Interdenominational Church Ushers Association of Delaware (ICUA) continues its mission of faith, fellowship, and service through meaningful events and outreach efforts that uplift and inspire. A Luncheon of Reflection and Joy On March 22, 2025 , Ebeneezer Baptist Church hosted the Spiritual Soap Opera Luncheon, led by Sis. Patricia Risher. Laughter, reflection, and fellowship filled the room as attendees enjoyed a memorable afternoon together. A Legacy of Honor ICUA members paid tribute to two esteemed brothers through special commemorations. On the first Sunday in April , ushers wore pins in honor of Brother W.H. Davis , and on the fourth Sunday in March, they did the same to remember Brother Elijah Hamilton — a heartfelt tradition of respect and remembrance. Serving with Grace on Good Friday ICUA was honored to usher at IMAC’s Good Friday Service at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Wilmington, DE. The service brought congregations together in a spirit of worship, reverence, and shared faith. Empowering Ushers Through Education The School of Ushering Workshop , led by Sis. Annette Forehand was held on May 10, 2025 , at Pilgrim Baptist Church in Newark, DE. Attendees found the session highly beneficial, gaining valuable insights and training to enhance their service in church ushering. ICUA of DE 54th Annual State Convention The 54th Annual State Convention , an eagerly awaited gathering, will take place from June 26 – 28, 2025, at Canaan Baptist Church , located at 3011 New Castle Ave., New Castle, DE . Under the esteemed leadership of Rev. Dr. Christopher A. Bullock , host pastor, this convention promises to be a time of inspiration, fellowship, and growth. The event will culminate in a momentous occasion — the graduation ceremony for the School of Ushering on June 28 — honoring the dedication and perseverance of those who have successfully completed their training.
