Because this was a new concept, the talk was not easy to make it become a reality. However, with earnest endeavor, the cooperation of the churches and faith and belief in our Maker, Brother Sheppard worked hard during the embryonic stages to develop the organization. He committed his time and talents to the development of the organization. He served in this capacity until 1957. Brother Sheppard was an outstanding leader and was also instrumental in the organization of the Eastern Region.

Since 1950, the ICUA of Virginia has had nineteen State Presidents. For 75 years the Lord has blessed, protected and guided our association. We pray that He will continue to bless us as we strive to do His will.
