Zion Baptist Church welcomes Reverend Dr. Wilbur A. Whitehurst, Jr. during a joyous Installation Service on Saturday, February 22, 2025. Reverend Dr. Adolphus C. Lacy, Pastor of Bethany Baptist Church delivered the Installation Message, which was truly wonderful and informative. The Bethany Baptist Church family was there in full force to show their support for Pastor Whitehurst, who comes from Bethany Baptist Church; under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. William A. Jones, Jr. Pastor Whitehurst is no stranger to Zion Baptist Church; he had taught Prayer Seminar Workshops at Zion. On Saturday and Sunday Rev, Dr, Michael C. Harris, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Passtown, Coatesville, PA and his congregation were in attendance, he was the speaker for Sunday Morning worship service. Numerous pastors, families and friends traveled from near and far to help in celebrating this monumental occasion. News Flash! Rev, Whitehurst was an usher under President Emeritus Alberta Jones. We are looking forward to our Ushers Annual Sermon on Sunday afternoon, March 16, 2025, and you there. Again; welcome Rev. Dr. Wilbur A. Winston-Brown, all Member Churches and families that has experienced the passing a loved one.

Celebration of Life June 19, 1923 – February 17, 2025 Mother Johnnie L. Winston - Brown , 101 years old, the last Charter Member; and longtime dedicated Usher of Glover Memorial Baptist Church. She served as Junior Supervisor, was a member of Church Ushers Association of Brooklyn & L.I. Supervisor Council and a faithful member of the Ushers Chorus.

Charles McCarley, Pastor “Protecting Freedom, Justice and Democracy in the Spirit of New Violence 365 ” was the theme for the MLK Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Celebration on January 19, 2025, at Kleinhans Music Hall. The Church Ushers Association of Buffalo and Vicinity, Incorporated provides ushering at this community event annually.
