National Officers From Virginia

We want to spotlight our 2nd National Vice President, School of Ushering Chairman, and Memorial Committee Chairman from Virginia. We thank them for their service and dedication to our Association. Donna A. Hines serves as the 2nd National Vice President and is a member of First Mount Zion Baptist Church, Dumfries where Reverend Dr. Sandra K. James serves as the Acting Pastor. Cheryl D. Allen is a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, Arlington where Elder Don Hayes serves as the Interim Pastor. Gena Randall is a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Alexandria where Reverend Dr. Dylon T. Young serves as the Interim Pastor. Our National Officers from Virginia pictured below.

Kensey M. Lewis School of Ushering Department

The Virginia Kensey M. Lewis School of Ushering Department has been very busy fulfilling its responsibilities. This Department strives to unify Church Ushering as set apart in the National United Church Ushers Association of America, Inc. School of Ushering Manual. This Department is responsible for conducting classes and workshops during the year. The Department held an Instructor’s Council Meeting/Training on Saturday, October 5, 2024. This Meeting/Training was held to prepare our Instructors for the 2024-2025 School Term. The Meeting/Training also served as a refresher course for our Instructors and was very beneficial. The classes began in October 2024 and are progressing very well. Three classes are being held at the following locations: Ebenezer Baptist Church, Woodbridge; First Baptist Church of Merrifield, Falls Church; and Mount Zion Baptist Church, Triangle. The Instructors are as follows: Shadonna Bartholomew, Mary Ferris, Tammie D. Green, Harriett (Dee) Johnson, Mary Johnson, Pauline Johnson, Devall Kelly, Cassandra Mitchell, Cynthia Poole, Linda Reed, Diane Reid, George Tinner, Jr., Charisse Tolson, and Leslie B. Williams. Cheryl D. Allen serves as the State School of Ushering Chairman.
