2024 Annual State Mid-Year Conference

We held our 2024 Annual State Mid-Year Conference on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Sterling, Virginia. District #4 President Louetta Newman served as our Host District President and District #4 served as our Host District. District #4 rolled out the red carpet for us. We opened with an outstanding Kensey M. Lewis School of Ushering Workshop conducted by our National and State School of Ushering Chairman Cheryl D. Allen and State Drill Master Phil Chambers. Our State Chaplain George Tinner, Jr. led our spirit-filled devotions. Board of Directors Chairman Gloria A. Greenhow presented the gavels and State President Cheryl D. Allen called the conference to order. Reverend Charles Thompson, Jr., Pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church, St. Louis, Virginia delivered a very uplifting message. We received warm greetings and very informative Eastern Region and National Updates from our very own National Second Vice President and Eastern Region Director Donna A. Hines. We received very informative reports from our Presidents, Board of Directors, Finance Team, Committees, Departments, and District Presidents. Our Willie J. Minnifield Training and Development Department Chairman Sandra C. Johnson provided an outstanding workshop on Spiritual Gifts. We are supporting By Faith Fund for our Lawrence A. Wright Outreach Department Project by providing a monetary donation to their organization. By Faith Fund is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that is dedicated to bridging the gap in their community by serving as facilitators and partners in providing essential resources to those in need.
