The 62nd Western Region Conference was held in Denver, Colorado from April 10th to 12th, 2025, at the Embassy Suites Denver International Airport. The planning for the convention commenced in September 2024 under the guidance of Alvin Nurse, Chairman of the Western Region Board. The initiative was led by Tony Dabney, State President; Brenda Melons, State Board Chairman; along with Western Region Board Members Shirley Boone, Edith-Jackson Norris, and Nadine Norris. Shirley Boone, Edith Jackson-Norris, and Nadine Norris directed the planning committee. They secured the Embassy Suites Denver International Airport to host the conference. We extend our gratitude to Chairman Nurse for traveling from Washington to finalize the contract. Committees were established, and numerous meetings and discussions took place to assure that every detail and requirement for a successful convention were addressed. With the cooperation and dedication of many Colorado ushers, the convention achieved great success through their commitment, hard work, and dedication. Ushers from Arizona, California, Nevada, and Washington arrived at the hotel and were cordially received by the Colorado ushers, who welcomed them with blue T-shirts, smiles, and embraces. The proceedings on Thursday evening commenced with the Executive Meeting, followed by the First Timers Orientation and the Conference opening. All events were well attended.

Friday morning started with The Ruth I. Jones Prayer Breakfast. Latasha Nicholson served as Mistress of Ceremony, and her son Norvail Nicholson did the welcome. Rev. T. E. Hendricks, Pastor of King Baptist Church, delivered inspirational words. Four other local pastors offered prayers for unity, commitment, our nation, and growth. Remarks were offered by Usher Anthony Powell, Western Region Director and 3rd National Vice President; Usher Alvin Nurse, Western Region Board Chairman; Usher Ruth I. Jones, Past National President; and Usher Anthony Dabney, Colorado State President. Benediction by Rev. T. E. Hendricks, Host Pastor.
