COLORADO
The welcome Program was successful. The Police Chief and Deputy Sheriff greeted attendees on behalf of the State Senator James Coleman'. His statement was read by Mistress of Ceremony Edith Jackson-Norris.
The Banquet was well attended with over 130 attendees. The banquet colors were green and blue. Two Honorees, Nadine Norris from King Baptist Church and Merriel Scroggins from Greater Union Baptist Church, were recognized for their meritorious contributions. Mistress of Ceremony Usher Ruth Jones eZiciently managed the program. Pastor T. E. Hendricks, Host Pastor, performed the Invocation. Usher Louise Glover delivered the welcome. Music selections were presented by Ronnie White and Youth Usher Janell Nettles from St. Stephens Baptist Church. During the School of Ushering, a drill competition took place. Two teams participated: one from Colorado and another from Arizona. There were no teams for the floor demonstration. The team from Colorado achieved first place with a score of 97.8, while the team from Arizona secured second place with a score of 95. The afternoon sessions centered around workshops and seminars designed to enhance ushering techniques and foster leadership skills within the organization. Special emphasis was placed on building unity across state lines, with collaborative exercises and discussions led by seasoned ushers and facilitators. These sessions provided attendees with practical insights and strategies to elevate their service, highlighting the importance of both spiritual and logistical preparation in fulfilling their roles effectively. Hotel management welcomed everyone. A song was performed by First Lady Wendy Hendricks, and Pastor Rev. T. E. Hendricks gave encouraging words. Youth Ushers distributed 15 gift bags to officers and city officials and enjoyed their role. The Memorial Program was excellently executed and honored those from the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, and Washington. There were no deceased ushers from Nevada. The tribute to the fallen was exceptional. Rev. Michael Davis from King Baptist Church delivered Words of Remembrance, which were uplifting to all attendees. Due to the absence of President Egans-Molina, 2nd Vice President Mozella Brown and 3rd Vice President Julia Rodgers presided over each business session. Our Chaplain Dr. Eddie Bates led all devotions. The organization's business matters were discussed, and reports were provided. Elections were held to fill vacant positions. The Friday Night Fellowship arranged for Box Lunches from Two Sistah’s Eats to be provided to all Ushers participating in the mystery trip, the shopping trip to Walmart, as well as those who opted to remain at the hotel.
