The ICUA of VA celebrated Father Matthew Taylor’s 100 th Birthday on April 5, 2025, at the Stafford Courthouse Community Center in Stafford, Virginia. It was a joyous and spirit-filled occasion. Our Mistress of Ceremony, Vera Lloyd did a great job and kept the program moving. The celebration started with a prayer by our Chaplin Cindi Poole followed by three scriptures Psalm 118:24, Psalm 91:14-16 and Isaiah 46:4 read by Sister Mary Ann Carr. The welcome/occasion was done by Sister Latachia Lewis. A Certificate of Appreciation was presented to Father Taylor by State President, Cheryl Allen. Chairman of the BOD, Gloria Greenhow; 2 nd National Vice-President & Eastern Region Director, Donna Hines, and Board Advisor, Kenneth Spencer brought greetings and gave birthday wishes to Father Taylor. We were blessed in song by Chairman Gloria Greenhow and Brother Gregory Wright. A birthday tribute was given by Sister Irene Washington. We received words of encouragement from Rev. Pierre L. Turner, Sr., Pastor of Mt. Hope Baptist Church, Stafford Va., and honors from family and friends. It was truly a wonderful and Happy Birthday celebration for Father Taylor.

The Mother of the ICUA of VA, T. Jean Horace celebrated her 84th birthday on April 20, 2025. Mother Horace was recovering from an illness therefore her birthday celebration was a quiet one. She was showered with “Happy Birthday” cards and gifts. We thank God for His loving kindness, tender mercies, and healing power.

The ICUA of VA, Inc. will celebrate its 75 th Anniversary September 13, 2025, at 4:00 pm at the Fredericksburg Convention Center, Fredericksburg, Virginia. We praise, uplift, and thank God for sustaining our association for 75 years. To God be the glory for the great things he has done! The chairpersons are Harriet Johnson and Linda Reed. The ICUA of Virginia members are looking forward to celebrating our 106 th National Convention in Pheonix, Arizonia, July 21 - July 25, 2025. We send our best wishes to National President, Dr. Linda Pates and Board of Directors Chairman, Pansy Bradley-Cooper for a successful and safe convention.
